Live Electronic Music In Motion
Crossed Wires is a celebration of live electronic music set in Waterford City, with a particular emphasis on light and melodic electronic genres such as Ambient, Electronica, and Melodic House. While electronic music is ubiquitous in our lives today, residents of Waterford rarely get the opportunity to experience it live. Crossed Wires aims to fill this gap, embracing collaboration with local businesses and organisations to enhance the cultural landscape of the city and create lasting connections within the community.
Crossed Wires Festival
The festival, run on the first bank holiday weekend of the year in late Jan/Feb holds nightime shoes & daytime events such as modular synth sets during dance & yoga workshops, classic album listening sessions, new artist showcases as well as night live gigs & dj’s.
The festival continues its focus on performance, place, and community – presenting a carefully curated lineup of local and national artists. Each event is shaped by its surroundings, creating intimate and immersive encounters with sound.

Connect @ Geoff’s Sept 19th
Crossed Wires returns to Geoff’s Bar & Café for a very special edition. Following a fantastic event earlier this year, we’re back with another evening of live electronic music—but this time with an important purpose.
Reconnect is a fundraiser in support of Jim McCabe, one of Waterford’s most respected sound engineers and sound hire providers, who lost virtually all his equipment in the devastating Dute Factory fire in May 2026.
